Birds of Paradise Terms & Conditions
ATTRACTION REGULATIONS
Please read and obey all posted rules and instructions from our staff. Our staff are highly trained and qualified.
- Rides must be at least 36” (92cm) or taller and able to sit unassisted in an upright position.
- Maximum two adults per boat.
- Second rider must be a minimum of 5 years of age. Children aged 5 to 7 must be accompanied by a chaperone 18+.
- Third rider must be between 3-6 years of age. When riding with a third rider one guest must be 18+.
- Children aged 7 to 10 must be accompanied by a chaperone 16 years of age or older.
- Riders much be at least 60” (153cm) to ride alone.
- Maximum weight per boat is 500lbs for double & triple riders or 300lbs for a single rider.
- Lifejackets must be worn at all times while on the floating dock and in the boat.
- Loose articles including, but not limited to, purses, jewelry and recording/photo devices (phone, GoPro/action camera, etc.) are not permitted.
- Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
- Do not: stand, kneel, or reach our of the boat while on the lake.
- High-heels are not permitted. Open toe-shoes are permitted.
- Dresses are not recommended.
MEDICAL
Persons with the following conditions should not ride: Expectant mothers. Recent surgery or other condition that may be aggravated by this ride, including guests with casts or support braces. Heart conditions, epilepsy or abnormal blood pressure. Back, neck, or similar physical problems. Motion sickness or dizziness.

RIDING POSITIONING
Riders must wait for the attendant instructions before boarding the boat. Remain seated upright in your boat facing forward, feet extended to the paddles with your back against the backrest. Arms, hands, legs and feet must remain inside the boat at all times. Clear the boat safely and orderly when exiting.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
All parks and attractions in West Edmonton Mall including, without limitation, Galaxyland Amusement Park, World Waterpark (including SkyFlyer Zipline), Marine Life (including Sea Life Caverns, Sea Lions’ Rock Show and Sea Lion Encounter), Deep Sea Adventure Lake (including The Ship), Ed’s Bowling (including Alien Outbreak Escape Room), Ice Palace, Professor WEM’s Adventure Golf, Dragon’s Tale Blacklight Mini Golf (Including Crystal Labyrinth Mirror Maze), and Drive Go-Karts, Birds of Paradise (collectively, the “Attractions”) are operated by West Edmonton Mall Property Inc. (“WEM”), its affiliates and those for whom WEM is legally responsible, including but not limited to, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents (collectively, the “WEM Releasees”). I hereby acknowledge that use of the Attractions may involve risks and dangers of serious injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death; that these risks may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of other participants, or the negligence of the WEM Releasees; and that I fully accept and assume all such risk and responsibility for losses, costs and damages which I may incur as a result of my participation in the Attractions and confirm that the WEM Releasees shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage whatsoever suffered by me, in, on, using, or in connection with the Attractions or any activities incidental thereto.
